Been Slackin’

It’s been a while since I last wrote. Sorry! My life has just become quite busy. There have been several contributing factors that have twisted me out of the normal day-to-day routine and I’m enjoying every moment of it. I’ll keep you updated as these previously mentioned factors materialize or not. In the meantime, I’ve been finding comfort in a quote:

“The only thing certain is life’s uncertainty.” – Pliny the Elder

This simple and obvious statement somehow excites me and pushes me to continue on this wild ride. I sometimes start believing that I’ve got everything figured out, and then the world gives me a small nudge to remind me I know nothing. Knowing nothing is incredibly thrilling. My eyes are open and ready for the adventure that awaits!

And lastly of course, a song!

Horray for Earth “Comfortable, Comparable”

CUPERTEENS Moped Ride Extrodinare

Not much to say about the day except that it was awesome. Perfect weather, beautiful backroads, a brilliant Saturday. On with the pictures!

Looks like we will continue not being an officially recognized moped gang. We’ve collectively decided to quit mopeds and become a scooter gang instead. Thanks to everyone showing up to our ride! We can’t wait to do it again. As Zack mentioned, next ride will likely be up Calaveras road. BEAUTIFUL twists and turns through the green hills. Expect this ride to happen once spring rolls around!

P.S. Here is a freaking great song by Crystal Castles featuring Robert Smith from The Cure! Enjoy! LINK

Obligatory “I Got A New Camera!” Post

Hey! I got a new camera! I’ve been wanting to buy one for quite some time and kept going back and forth between a DSLR and a full-featured “point-and-shoot” that still has tons of manual adjustability. I ended up going with the latter since I’m completely new to photography and I wanted something portable. I found this beautiful camera by Panasonic, the LX5.

So far, I really like the camera. There are seemingly infinite options and settings to play with. Here are some sample shots taken over the last week!

Zack’s Chevron Car Collection.

Sake Bombs! Our server accidently gave us 2 pints and 2 pitchers of sake each.

$7.50 calzones from Fast Pizza.

Beer of choice. (Typical, right?)

Playing with flash. Matt’s shirt glows!

Thomas the Tomos.

Awwwww, kitty!

Sheown!

Zack’s sweet headlight.

That about covers it. I still need to learn how to do photography but I think some of these pics came out pretty sweet. I can’t wait to really learn how to use this beautiful camera. No more grainy iPhone pictures either! Yay! Happy Monday everyone!

P.S. Happened to be walking by The Independent on Saturday night and saw these guys were playing. Show wasn’t sold out, so I went. Cool story bro! Really great show! Really great song!
